The reporter learned from Jilin Oilfield Exploration and Development Research Institute that China Petroleum's first CCUS international efficiency project has successfully passed the key node acceptance of the Indonesian government, marking that the project has gained international authoritative recognition.
The inspection and acceptance work was completed through an online meeting by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (SKKmigas). ”Chen Wei, director of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute at Jilin Oilfield Exploration and Development Research Institute, introduced. During this period, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on the feasibility study of carbon dioxide flooding in Gemah oilfield in Indonesia's Jiabu block, and technical experts also questioned the technical points and other details. Finally, SKKmigas officially recognized that the project had achieved its phase goals and all achievements had passed the phase review.
It is reported that this project is the first CCUS international project of Jilin Oilfield, and also the first time that China Petroleum's CCUS technology has entered the country to create efficiency. To promote the project, Jilin Oilfield Exploration and Development Research Institute has established an "integrated" research team composed of professional technical personnel in CCUS enhanced oil recovery, logging, geophysical exploration and other fields. After a year and a half of hard work, the project has completed multiple technical breakthroughs such as static geological model verification, dynamic numerical model verification, rock mechanics experiments, and establishment of geostress models for Gemah oilfield, and has been unanimously recognized by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
